Robyn has always had a love of art since childhood. It was during the early days of studying a Bachelor of Education in Art and Craft that started a love of clay and its ease of manipulation. She majored in Ceramics and Garment Construction and has now connected the two together.

After a career in teaching secondary art and textiles she then passed her skills onto the younger generation teaching children at Woodend Art Group.

Robyn has developed a distinctive style in her ceramics under the label of Seasonal Ceramics. Her handcrafted ceramics is inspired by the seasons and what lies beneath the soil. She experiments using different media dipping Hession into slip (liquid clay) and printing this onto her handmade vases and bowls. The local scenery around Gisborne South where she lives is also inspiration for painting on her vases, hence bringing the landscape inside the home.

Robyn’s work is for sale at Duck, Duck, Goose and Larder Kyneton, and Payzanne in Woodend.
